King Green Takes on ORLANDO!

Greetings everyone, and HAPPY NEW YEAR! My name is Emily Kerns. I am King Green’s Online Marketing Specialist. February will mark three years since I started at King Green. Recently, I was given the opportunity to work outside the office for a couple of days. I’d love to share with you all what I experienced.Earlier this month I attended the 2022 WorkWave Beyond Service User Conference. I was joined by Amanda Jones (Office Manager) and Keena Queen (Customer Service Representative). We escaped the cold Georgia weather for a few days for a chance to increase our knowledge in sunny Orlando. Georgia had some very low temperatures this week, so we could not get on that plane fast enough. This was Keena and I’s first time attending a conference for King Green. We really didn’t know what to expect. The three of us spent our days in classes learning the tools to help make our customers’ experience with King Green better, as well as networking with other people in the industry. Listening to advice from people in our field was a great way for us to improve our knowledge. We were lucky enough to gain some helpful skills that we cannot wait to implement in our customer service and marketing teams! On top of learning, we also had the chance to listen to industry experts and NFL legend Joe Theismann. Joe spoke on the “Challenge of Change” and how important it is to evolve, while still holding on to your core values. This is something King Green always works hard to maintain. While we were in Orlando, we found some downtime to visit the “Happiest Place on Earth”, Disney World! It had been years since some of us had visited Magic Kingdom, so we thought “why not?”. We were grateful that we got to push all the stress of the world aside for a few hours to just goof off and feel like kids again. Experiencing the magic of Magic Kingdom was the perfect way to end our trip. It was much needed!Expanding our knowledge was, of course, the main purpose of this trip but something even better happened. We were able to bond! Many memories were made, and even more inside jokes were created. We strengthened our relationships so much and we were able to bring our departments closer together. I am extremely fortunate to work for a company that truly cares for its staff. Thank you, King Green, for giving us this amazing opportunity! This trip was something I will never forget! It was truly a wonderful way to kick off the new year.Thank you for continuously supporting King Green. We are forever grateful for our customers! We can’t wait to see all that’s in store for in 2022.
